I chose to run for election based on my diverse professional and volunteer background, my concern for others, and my desire for Olmsted Township to continue to be an excellent place to live.
I intend to evaluate all current township operations to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve efficiency to maximize your tax dollars. I will improve and maintain community safety, fiscal accountability, and protect taxpayer’s interests.

Ever since my appointment as the fire chief in Olmsted Township in 2015, Tom Cole has been an advocate of the fire department, emergency services, and most importantly, the residents of Olmsted Township.Since I’ve known Tom, he has served in a leadership role in the Olmsted Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), first as Deputy Director and is currently serving as the Olmsted CERT Director. Tom has always strived for excellence by making sure his team was properly trained and equipped for their task of helping the emergency services keep the community safe. In my opinion, Tom has done an excellent job as a leader of his team. The Olmsted CERT is one of the larger ones in the county and is well respected by their peers.Tom and his Olmsted CERT members have also helped with many community events including, but not limited to, the Halloween Safety Open House, the Toys for Tots drive, the Pizza Across America, the Christmas and Thanksgiving food drive through, helping with traffic on election day, the blood drive and more. He has contributed countless hours doing selfless volunteer work in the community and has always been willing to help, despite the time or season. Tom has spent many long hours on the emergency scene often freeing up emergency responders so they could help other residents in need. Tom Cole also volunteers in other community events such as the Alzheimer’s Run and other fundraising events.Tom Cole has gained respect from the public as well as the safety forces and government officials in Olmsted Township. Tom Cole and his wife and family are longtime residents of Olmsted Township, he knows the Olmsted community well and deeply cares for it.
